FOOTBALL

Programme Overview

We build confident, game-smart footballers through a clear, age-appropriate pathway delivered by our FA/UEFA-qualified coaches. Training blends technical skill, tactical understanding, and athletic foundations—with personalised feedback in every session so progress is visible and fast.

What we coach

  • Ball mastery & first touch: scanning, open body shape, receiving across the body, turns (Cruyff/drag/hook), shielding and change of pace.

  • Passing & combination play: short/long passing, wall-pass (give-and-go), overlaps/underlaps, third-man runs, creating angles and triangles.

  • Finishing: laces vs inside-foot finishing, 1v1 with the keeper, first-time finishes from cut-backs, volleys, and decision-making in the box.

  • 1v1/2v2 domination: feints, step-overs, stop-start moves; attacking and defending principles.

  • Defending unit work: pressing cues, delay/jockey, covering & compactness, recovery runs and transition to attack.

  • Game intelligence: playing through the thirds, width & depth, overloads, set-piece roles, and basic match craft.

How the programme runs

  • Progressive term plan: weekly themes that build from isolated reps → guided opposition → small-sided games (SSGs) → conditioned match play.

  • Individual targets: each player has a simple goal sheet (e.g., first-touch quality, weaker-foot passes, finishing %), coach cues, mid-term check-ins and an end-of-term summary.

  • Athletic development: age-safe work on agility, balance, coordination and speed (ABCs), plus landing mechanics and injury-prevention habits.

Formats to suit your player

  • Group sessions (term time): high-energy, positionless development with small coach-to-player ratios and lots of ball contacts.

  • Individual lessons (1:1 or 1:2): accelerated coaching for targeted gains—first touch, striking technique, 1v1 moves, or positional play.

  • Match play & pathway: regular in-house fixtures/festivals and invitational squads for those ready to compete.

Our coaching approach

  • Game-based learning: realistic practices that transfer to match day.

  • Clear, constructive feedback: quick corrections, tactical prompts, and simple at-home drills to reinforce learning.

  • Safeguarding-led. Sessions are inclusive, supportive, and fun.

Whether your child is new to football or aiming for competitive play, our curriculum ensures they learn the game the right way—skills first, smart decisions second, confidence always.
