Programme Overview


At Soul Sports, we develop confident, game-smart netballers through a clear, age-appropriate coaching pathway. Our curriculum blends technical skill, tactical understanding, and athletic fundamentals—with personalised feedback built into every session.

What we coach

  • Core skills: ball handling, passing (chest, shoulder, bounce), shooting technique, landing & pivoting, change of direction, deceleration, spatial awareness.

  • Unit play by position: GS/GA finishing & rebounding; WA/C timing of leads, creating angles and triangles; WD/GD/GK marking footwork, 1-on-1 denial, intercept timing, and unit press.

  • Tactical concepts: centre-pass structures, width and depth through thirds, timing of drives, hold/roll/release, transition defence, and decision-making under pressure.

  • Game craft & rules: contact/obstruction, 3-feet discipline, offside, set plays, umpire signals, and match behaviours.

How the programme runs

  • Progressive term plan: weekly themes (e.g., “footwork & first step”, “creating space”, “defensive unit”), building from isolated reps → opposed drills → small-sided games → conditioned match play.

  • Athletic development: age-safe agility, balance, coordination, landing mechanics and ankle-stability work to support performance and reduce injury risk.

Formats to suit your child

  • Group sessions (term time): high-energy, position-specific blocks with small coach-to-player ratios.

  • Individual lessons (1:1 or 1:2): accelerated, bespoke coaching for targeted improvements (e.g., shooting form, change of direction, defensive footwork).

  • Match play: regular scrimmage opportunities to apply learning in realistic contexts.

Our coaches are trained to deliver clear, constructive feedback so every player—new or experienced—makes visible, steady progress.
