BASKETBALL
Boys Basketball Programmes U10 - U14
At Soul Sports, we develop confident, game-ready players through a clear coaching pathway led by Coach Percy (USA), our Head Coach & Player Development Specialist. Sessions blend technical skill, basketball IQ, and athletic fundamentals—with personalised feedback built into every practice so progress is visible and fast.

What we coach
-
Ball handling & footwork: stance, triple-threat, change of pace, cross/inside-out/hesi, jab series, stops, pivots, and controlled first step.
-
Shooting mechanics: form shooting progression, set-point & release, balance/footwork into catch-and-shoot, pull-up, floater and finishing package (inside/outside hand, Euro, pro hop).
-
Playmaking: passing variety (push, hook, skip), creating passing angles, drive-and-kick reads, decision-making under pressure.
-
Team concepts: spacing (5-out / 4-out-1-in), cutting (backdoor, 45 cut), screening (down, flare, ball-screen), pick-and-roll reads vs drop/hedge/switch, advantage creation & shot selection.
-
Defence & rebounding: stance, closeouts, on-ball containment, off-ball positioning, help/rotate, box-out technique and transition defence.
-
Athletic development: coordination, agility, acceleration/deceleration, landing mechanics and ankle-knee stability to boost performance and reduce injury risk.

How the programme runs
-
Progressive term plan: weekly themes build from isolated reps → guided opposition → small-sided games → controlled scrimmage.
-
Individual goals: each player has a simple goal sheet (e.g., form-shooting %, weak-hand finishes, turnover rate) plus coach cues and a brief end-of-term review.
-
Feedback tools: live coaching, quick video clips where useful, and targeted home drills to accelerate improvement between sessions.

Formats to suit your player
-
Group sessions (term time): high-energy, position-less development with small coach-to-player ratios and regular scrimmage time.
-
Individual lessons (1:1 or 1:2): bespoke player development for rapid gains—shooting form, handle under pressure, finishing, footwork or defensive technique.
-
Performance pathway: opportunities for match play/fixtures.
Whether your son is new to basketball or aiming for competitive play, our curriculum ensures he learns the game the right way—skills first, decisions second, confidence always.
Book a term or trial and see the difference.
